Will the Disney World Hall of Presidents censor Trump?

Disney is reportedly considering "muting" President Donald Trump when his animatronic figure is added to the Hall of Presidents attraction at Disney theme parks. The landmark attraction features every President, and traditionally, recent Presidents "talk" to the audience. That may now change.

The Hall of Presidents attraction features speeches by popular Presidents like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Recently, however, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama all recorded speeches that their "characters" spoke at the attraction. Many are now wondering if President Trump's figure will speak when he is added. Disney, however, isn't saying.

The Hall of Presidents at Disney World in Florida is currently closed for renovations, and while a reopening date has not been announced, it is expected to be this year. Even though President Trump's role in the updated attraction is unknown, some are already pushing to silence him.

The Orlando Sentinel even reports that an online petition was started asking Disney to ensure Trump's figure never speaks. Triggered snowflakes signed it by the thousands.
A petition on the change.org website calls for the Trump figure to remain silent.

“We ask that Walt Disney World take a stand against divisive and hurtful rhetoric and have the backs of millions of Americans and people worldwide whose day would be ruined by the depiction of a speech by Donald Trump,” the petition ends.  It has more than 13,000 online supporters.
According to the DisKingdom.com podcast, President Trump will likely NOT have a speaking role in the new attraction. The website tends to have the inside scoop on happenings at the theme park, and they believe Trump either turned down the chance to record a speech for the attraction (as recent Presidents have done) or was not asked by Disney to participate.

We'll update this story as we learn more.
